EM Students Facilitate Dinosaurs Entering Spokane
A unique benefit of Entertainment Management at the School of Business Administration is real-world learning opportunity offered to enrolled students. This spring, students were offered contribution in the marketing campaign of “Walking With Dinosaurs.”
"Walking With Dinosaurs: The Live Experience" will soon complete its Australian Tour, after which it will begin its journey across North America. Beginning in Tacoma, WA, on July 11, the tour will continue to Spokane, WA. Dinosaurs will be walking in the Spokane Arena from July 17-22.
A team of EM students has been involved in marketing the tour in western Montana, thanks to the support of Maria Brunner, Insight Management, and Kevin Twohig, Spokane Arena. Throughout the spring, these students have developed a marketing campaign for the show in Spokane, working closely with the tour as well as the Spokane Arena.
The students' marketing efforts were visible on the Festival on the Oval for Spring Thaw on Friday, April 27, 2007. With the help of Missoula Children's Museum and merchandise from the tour, the students informed Spring Thaw participants of the upcoming show in their area.

The students had prepared a tent in which the documentary of "Walking With Dinosaurs" was shown, as well as posters and fliers. Children participated in a Dinosaur Dig, shoveling through recycled tires to unearth dinosaur bones and treasures.Spring Thaw 2007
The students have even prepared a travel guide, featuring alternate transportation options, places to visit along the way to Spokane from western Montana, and places to stay in Spokane.
With the support of EM's instructors, students have received the opportunity to become involved in this year's largest national tour.
