Course Session: Touring and Artist Management

Upon graduating from Montana State University with a degree in Education and Business, Maria earned a Master's Degree from Western Washington University. At each college institution, she was responsible for the student programs board and as a graduate student, guided the various student-programming aspects at Western Washington University for an 18 month period.

Upon graduating with a Master's in Student Personnel Administration and Speech, Maria became Assistant Director of Student Activities at Everett Community College and was responsible for many student programs. She also taught Speech and Interpersonal Communications. After a six-year tenure there, Maria went to work for Concerts West/Management Three, where she was in charge of tour marketing and overall marketing for projects, record releases and other entertainment events.

Maria is now the owner of Insight Management, a marketing firm that has offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and Nashville. Insight provides marketing services for various tours, festivals, fairs, and other entertainment events.
