Independent Artist, Storyteller Extraordinaire Spencer Bohren

New Orleans’ independent artist and storyteller extraordinaire, Spencer Bohren shares his insights with- and entertains students. Bohren instructed students enrolled in MGMT195 Introduction to the Entertainment Business and MGMT401 Event Management. Bohren discussed the challenges of wearing so many “hats” when being a self-managed, independent artist. He also emphasized that artists pursue a life rather than a particular lifestyle. The “life” of an artist is one that requires sharing their creative gift with others. He ended both classes with highly entertaining performances that highlighted the origins of American music.
