UM Productions Advisor Marlene Hendrickson

Once upon a time, Marlene Hendrickson worked under the lights of Broadway and for the stars of Hollywood, but now she shines as the Advisor to UM Productions and as a guest instructor for the Entertainment Management Program.

This native of Butte, MT has degrees in accounting and organizational communications, and she was personally responsible for Jack Lemmon, Robert Wagner, Richard Crenna, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, and Richard Thomas’s accounting. For the past several years however, she has worked for ASUM and UM Productions, advising the latter group on producing and at times promoting live entertainment on and around the University. As a guest instructor in the “Principles of Entertainment” and the “Introduction to the Entertainment Business” classes, Marlene shares her extensive knowledge of researching talent, negotiating with members of the artist’s management team, advancing shows, and developing good deals with artists – a win-win for all parties.
