Patrick Nelson
Technical Director, University Theatre

Pat Nelson is a native-born Montanan from Fortine, Montana. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from The University of Montana and a Master of Fine Arts in Drama Design and Technology from the University of Georgia.
His lighting design credits include John Prine, Jimmie Vaughan, Greg Brown, Taj Mahal (University Theatre); Stop Kiss (Flathead Valley Community College); Amadeus (University of Georgia); The Complete Works of Shakespeare - Abridged (Highlands Playhouse, Highlands, NC); The Age of Discovery (Georgia Repertory Theatre, Athens, GA); and an assistant design of 1940's Radio Hour (Theatre in the Square, Marietta, GA).
He has also toured with the Montana Repertory Theatre as an electrician. Pat enjoys hunting, fishing, snowshoeing, and he spent eight years working for the United States Forest Service as a wildland firefighter.
