Academy Award Winner Doug Hemphill

Academy Award winner, Doug Hemphill, shared his knowledge and experience with students enrolled in MGMT195 Introduction to the Entertainment Business and MGMT402 Principles of Entertainment Management. Hemphill won an Oscar for his work on “Last of the Mohicans,” and has been recognized for his work on several other blockbuster films, including “Master and Commander” and “Walk the Line.” Throughout the discussion with the students Hemphill stressed the importance of being team-member, contributing solutions to problems rather than solely identifying them, and he placed additional emphasis on students developing their critical thinking and listening skills.
