Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam Rocks MGMT 195 and MGMT 401 Classes

Pearl Jam Co-Founder and Bassist, Jeff Ament shares his entrepreneurial experiences with students enrolled in MGMT 195 Introduction to the Entertainment Business, and his thoughts on event planning with students enrolled in MGMT 401 Event Management. Ament spoke about the challenges entrepreneurs face because they are often breaking “old-molds” or established business practices that are frequently viewed as the only way to succeed. Additionally, he spoke about what might be the most common form of an entrepreneurial enterprise – “The Do-It-Yourself Model.” In MGMT 401, Ament discussed event planning from an artist’s point- of view, pointing out the common areas of responsibility that are often overlooked and those aspects of an event that make for a great show.
