Internship Funding

Here are some on campus places to seek funding to help with unpaid internships.

• Office of the Provost, Student Enrichment Fund: worth ~$500
  • Deadline: October 5th and February 15th
• Campus Corp, a branch off of AmeriCorp : worth $1000 to $1250
  • Deadline: Before you start volunteering
  • Description: If you complete 300 or 450 volunteer hours within one year you will receive an Educational Award. After you complete the hours you can use the educational award for any school expenses including books, tuition, housing, and more.
  • *I (Kathy, your Internship Advisor) did this, and used my Educational Award to help pay the fees assoicated with my international internship in Ireland. The award gets sent to the school and then the school will use it to pay your tuiton/fees and whatever is left over comes to you like a normal refund check. So basically it works like any other scholarship, but you choose which semester to use it in.
• The Pat Williams Scholarship Awards Program: worth $500 to $1500
  • Deadline: December 1
  • Description: Can be used for an internship or research.
